The primary focus of our new site is to inform and involve members with what’s going on with the club. Version 1.0 consists of 4 elements: About Us, Announcements, Gallery and Contact Us
About Us — Describes our club and its goals and provides a way for non-member visitors (possibly new members) to contact us. The description was pulled together from statements about the club found on previous WGW blogs and websites from 5-10 years ago. Please review this carefully for truth and accuracy.
Announcements — This is the heart of the site. It provides — in the form of blog entries — that provide announcements to membership of meetings, events, demos, etc. and reporting of the results of these act — that is chronological and archived. If you scroll all the way down to the bottom there is a place to subscribe to these announcements and you’ll receive an email whenever a new announcement is posted.
Gallery — This is a place for photos from meetings, demos and events and of members and their work. You will notice that the current gallery is comprised mainly of photos from 2009-2011. So we need an infusion of current photos and you are invited and encouraged to send some of your work, yourself, yourself with your work. Also, as relying on any one individual to photograph meetings, events and demos simply does not work. Everyone is encouraged to snap and submit a few photos.
Contact Us — Is a form for sending a message to the club. It is accessed from the About Us page and messages are sent to our watergapwoodturners@gmail.com email address.
Submissions of content — photos and announcements, etc. should be made by email to:
